The role involves high-accuracy simulations of electrostatic, RF, magnetic, and microwave fields, as well as ion shuttling dynamics and trapping potentials, using COMSOL Multiphysics. * MSc or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with strong understanding of ion trapping physics (Paul traps, pseudopotential theory) * Experience with numerical and FEM-based simulation tools, such as COMSOL Multiphysics (AC/DC and RF Modules preferred) * Experience in quantum information, trapped ions, or atomic physics
