A primary objective of the position will be the development of additional capabilities in the open-source multi-physics simulation framework 4C ( ) and the application of this framework to specific problems in the field of solid mechanics. Preferred application areas include materials science, additive manufacturing and biomedical engineering. You are involved in the further development of a computational multi-physics simulation framework in C++ and its application to specific research problems, mainly from materials science and process engineering. You should have a master's and PhD degree in computational mechanics, mechanical engineering, applied mathematics, or similar area. Very good knowledge of the theoretical foundations of engineering (mechanics, thermodynamics, applied mathematics, etc.) and very good English are essential.
