Your role

We develop and produce high-performance tactile, optical 3D and X-ray measuring devices and also offer suitable software solutions for analysing measurement data. With a strong and broad technology and software portfolio, comprehensive expertise and a global presence, ZEISS is a preferred partner in a wide range of industries, including electromobility, medical technology, additive manufacturing and aircraft construction. 

  • Develop and maintain high-performance software solutions using modern C++ to enable quality assurance in near-production industrial environments

  • Collaborate with dynamic and highly motivated agile teams to provide robust workflows for optical, surface, and X-ray metrology

  • Write performant, high-quality C++20 code and ensure its reliability through unit, integration, and acceptance tests

  • Contribute significantly to the development of our software for training and applying advanced algorithms for feature and defect detection

  • Act as a mentor for your colleagues in the application of software engineering principles and best practices

  • Passionate about cutting-edge software development using modern deep learning methods

Your profile

  • A successfully completed degree in Computer Science / Mathematics / Physics / Electrical Engineering with a focus on software engineering or a comparable qualification

  • Several years of practical experience in software development with C++, parallel programming paradigms, and CI/CD (e.g., Git, Testing, Azure DevOps)

  • Enthusiasm for Clean Code, Design Principles, and modern programming paradigms

  • Ideally professional experience with machine learning and the deep learning tech stack in products (e.g. PyTorch, ONNX, TensorRT)

  • Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken

  • Strong communication skills, customer orientation, team spirit, hands-on mentality, as well as a self-reliant and organized approach
