As a Mechanical Engineer - Cryogenics & Vacuum (f/m/d), you will be part of a team with a mission to develop, set up and operate our trapped-ion quantum computers and relevant test devices. You will collaborate closely with our international team of physicists and engineers from different disciplines. * Carry out the development and design of highly innovative mechanical components, and their integration into the overall quantum computer design system in cooperation with systems experts * Create 3D CAD models and drawings for manufacturing, define the product's mechanical design, and manage CAD data, parts lists, and the Bill of Materials (BOM) * Test mechanical prototypes and check them against specifications * BSc. or MSc degree in mechanical engineering or comparable * An excellent grasp of the fundamentals of mechanical engineering with practical experience
