eleQtron develops and operates full-stack quantum computers based on trapped-ion technology. As a Simulation Engineer (f/m/d), you will model, simulate, and optimize ion trap systems. The role involves high-accuracy simulations of electrostatic, RF, magnetic, and microwave fields, as well as ion shuttling dynamics and trapping potentials, using COMSOL Multiphysics. * Model static and time-dependent electrostatic potentials of segmented ion traps Ion Dynamics & Transport * Simulate single- and multi-ion dynamics in time-dependent potentials * Analyze ion shuttling protocols, including transport speed, motional excitation, and heating * MSc or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with strong understanding of ion trapping physics (Paul traps, pseudopotential theory) * Exposure to experimental ion trap setups or hardware constraints
