WHAT THE JOB BRINGS YOU

You will play an important role in evaluating and improving our internal control systems and procedures and will conduct comprehensive reviews to assess the effectiveness of our risk management practices, business processes, financial reporting (J-SOX), and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The duties of this position include the following responsibilities:

  • Participating in the planning phase of an audit engagement
  • Performing audit procedures in accordance with the established plan and contributing in the reporting phase.
  • Monitoring the follow-up of measures to remedy deficiencies
  • Identifying control weaknesses and areas for improvement, and developing practical, value-added recommendations for minimizing risk and increasing efficiency
  • Applying data analysis tools and methods to improve the information value and efficiency of internal audits
  • Ensuring compliance with internal audit standards, Group audit methods, and project-related objectives in all audit activities
  • Maintaining internal audit documentation in the Group Audit Management System and assisting in the preparation of well-founded audit reports
  • Evaluation of internal controls within the framework of J-SOX in accordance with Group-wide guidelines
  • Monitoring relevant changes in European laws and regulations to ensure compliance and derive necessary adjustments to the control system
  • Suggest advise to optimize business processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

WHAT YOU BRING WITH YOU

  • Master's degree in auditing, business administration, finance, accounting, or a comparable qualification
  • At least five years of professional experience in internal auditing, auditing, or risk management-ideally in an international environment
  • In-depth knowledge of conducting risk-based audits and applying relevant auditing standards (e.g., IIA, J-SOX)
  • Strong analytical skills and a high degree of problem-solving ability and judgment
  • Confident use of audit management systems and very good MS Office skills, especially in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good knowledge of current legal and regulatory requirements in Europe
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
  • High level of initiative, sense of responsibility, and strong teamwork and cooperation skills
