Your responsibilities:
Take full ownership of the technical maintenance unit for rolling stock incl. several workshops
Review and establish regimes to monitor compliance with operation & maintenance standards and applicable rail industry standards
Providing expertise and guidance throughout the company encompassing a safe operation while increasing overall quality of maintenance
Lead, direct and monitor the performance of the maintenance management teams and their reports
Improve and implement a standardized, system-supported process for handling efficient maintenance of wagons to provide an agreed level of performance, reliability, and availability
Optimize and reorganize the maintenance processes including the introduction of IT-supported maintenance
Liaison with the responsible railway authorities e.g. to enable a longer operation period of the wagons and licenses
Responsible for achieving the highest level of safety and sustainability by ensuring the execution of regular and ad-hoc safety audits
Responsible for procurement contracts incl. maintenance
Steer and lead a team
Was wir erwarten
Your Profile:
University degree (B.Sc./M.Sc.) in Engineering or equivalent
At least 10 years of professional experience in maintenance in a rail workshop and at least 5 years of experience in a leadership position
Relevant experience with transformation projects in the railway industry, especially in the management of private rail operators (preferably long-distance traffic)
Proven success in the implementation of process optimizations (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
Demonstrate leadership and working with multinational teams especially from Eastern European countries
Fluency in English or Russian, both languages would be a plus
Willing to move your primary residence to Eastern Europe/ Central Asia for at least 1 year Project duration: until Dec 2021 with option to extend
