Managing employees and resources, you will direct the implementation of tactical business plans, programs and projects in terms of transportation, while also delivering solutions that drive continuous process improvement all to ensure delivery of the right product to the right place at the right price.
This management position is created to lead a newly formed team of Logistics Process Engineers and Administrative Workers. The team's charter is to ensure seamless processing of in- and outbound shipments in close collaboration with our Logistics Service Providers and it shares this responsibility with our Warehouse Service Provider that operates the Logistics Center. The team will further be a close Logistics partner to the Waldbronn site as well as the Customer Service team. It is also responsible for Freight payment checking. The team complies with respective budgets and legal or Agilent policies.
Supervision of up to 8 team members
Leading and keeping the team motivated including training and development
Implementing processes and establishing a proper structure to ensure clear and precise responsibilities in close collaboration with your manager
Ensuring proper shipping and optimized delivery to the customer
Close collaboration with internal partners and participating and/or leading continuous improvement activities to foster effectiveness, efficiency and standardization of processes
Profound knowledge about Im- and Export
Knowledge about transportation of Dangerous Goods as well as shipping modes Air, Sea and Road
Bachelors or Master Degree or University Degree or equivalent plus directly relevant experience as a manager, supervisor and/or individual contributor.
You ideally have several years of practical experience in a similar position including people management
There is experience with the methodology of Lean Management and Six Sigma available
Communication and presentation skills are excellent, and you are practical and confident
You are self-motivated, self-driven and you can think outside the box
MS Office Products are very familiar and ideally you have experience with ERP-System SAP
Your English is business fluent
Requires proven skills in leading/managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics.
