We're a company of pioneers. It's our job to make bold bets, and we get our energy from inventing on behalf of customers. Success is measured against the possible, not the probable. For today’s pioneers, that’s exactly why there’s no place on Earth they’d rather build than Amazon.
When Amazon.com launched in 1995, it was with the mission “to be Earth’s most customer-centric company, where customers can find and discover anything they might want to buy online, and endeavors to offer its customers the lowest possible prices.” This goal continues today, but Amazon’s customers are worldwide now, and have grown to include millions of Consumers, Sellers, Content Creators, and Developers & Enterprises. Each of these groups has different needs, and we always work to meet those needs, innovating new solutions to make things easier, faster, better, and more cost-effective.
Are you a front-end developer or UX enthusiastic? Would you like to see your work displayed to hundreds of millions of customers and evaluated with scientific methods to identify the most efficient trends, ideas and design? Are you eager to learn everything about the customer journey into Amazon Prime and impact directly how to solve our biggest frustration points worldwide? If yes, come join the Prime team and help shape the Prime experience on all our websites.
Technical requirements include expertise in HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript plus the ability to learn our in-house tools quickly (experience with usual CMS or frameworks will be appreciated). The successful candidate will be an excellent problem-solver, with great autonomy, yet good capacity to reach out for help when required. In addition to being fully proficient in English, communication skills in a multi-cultural, multi-lingual environment with remote teams will be key and we are looking for a good pedagogue, able to comment thoroughly the code produced, and to draft precise documentation. The ideal candidate will be innovative, have a strong interest in online marketing and be able to prioritize to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
You will own the creation of highly visible elements on all versions of Amazon websites, learning and understanding the depth and breadth of the Amazon Prime business. This role demands agility to support rapid product development cycles, in relationship with a wide range of different actors, and the drive to continually refine our content based on customer data. Elements of creativity and interest in web design, ergonomics and behavioral economics will be a decisive factor of success.
