UPM Raflatac is looking for a business minded
Sustainability Manager (m/f/d), Label Life
to join our global Stakeholder Relations & Marketing team. You are an expert in sustainable packaging design and LCA. This position is located at one of UPM Raflatac's main locations in Central Europe or Americas region. Other locations may be considered.
UPM Raflatac is leading in sustainable labeling through our innovative self-adhesive label materials and services. We offer high-quality paper and film label stock for branding and promotion, informational labels, and labels with functionality. We operate a global network of factories, distribution terminals and sales offices. Our company employs around 3,000 people and made sales of EUR 1.6 billion (USD 1.8 billion) in 2020.

What you’ll do
- You are responsible for developing our Label Life sustainable packaging service together with external service providers
- You will create sustainable packaging concepts that engage customers and brands
- You will drive the digitalization of our services to help partners grow their business
- You are the key user of our LCA model and Label Life tool, including tailored LCA calculations, maintenance and development
- You will provide internal and external training for employees and Label Life partners
- You will be responsible for alignment with UPM corporate policies and rules
Who you are
You have proven competences in the following key fields:
- Sustainable packaging design
- Circularity of packaging
- LCA, environmental reporting & product foot printing
- Different packaging materials and their manufacturing processes
- Data management and Digitalization
- Business development
- Project management
Other competences:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to speak English fluently. Other languages are seen as an asset
- Knowledge and passion for sustainability concepts
- Experience in working within international companies
- An analytical and innovative mindset
- Organized, flexible and easily adaptable to changing conditions
- Capability to travel as required
