Was dich erwartet
We are currently looking for you to join "Digital Rail Germany" by DB Netz AG in Berlin. Your tasks:
As part of the digitization of the overall railway system, you will work on the development of software functions of a HD map for railways
Therefore, you are responsible for implementing and validation of different data sources for the map data generation (e.g. Shapefiles, Geopackage)
You are responsible for software pipelines and the design and implementation of Protobuf schemes for digital map data
You will use algorithms and data structures efficiently since digital map compilation requires lot of data processing, which executes in parallel
You will deploy your code on a 100% cloud infrastructure
In this the position it is essential to constantly learn new technologies that are required to build our product
Was wir erwarten
Your Profile:
You completed your Bachelor or master’s degree in software engineering, computer science or equivalent practical experience
You have 5+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 3 years of C++ development
Additionally, you have knowledge of Java and Scala and experience with Apache Spark and Flink is a plus
In the past you gathered experience with message driven system like MQQT, Kafka, NATS and practical usage of different cloud systems like AWS, Azure or other
You have experience in hands-on writing Unit Test. TDD is a big plus.
If you have experience in the Digital map domain, it is a huge plus and experiences with Google Protobuffer / FlatBuffers are very welcome
