For our location in Frankfurt am Main we are seeking a
Senior Project Manager (m/f/d) Transaction Liability
Ihr Kompetenzbereich
- Act as lead deal team member on TL placements and manage deal team through process; to include:
- Lead initial conversations with clients and /or their advisers
- Provide advice to clients and colleagues on the scope of coverage available for different products to establish the appropriate product that meets the clients' coverage needs
- Analyse transaction documents and DD reports in order to understand key deal issues relevant to successful risk placement
- Lead negotiations with markets
- Ensure team delivers on client timetable
- Experienced M&A lawyer to act as the project lead contact on Transaction Liability transactions, especially for Warranty & Indemnity, Tax and Legal/Litigation Risk Insurance Policies
- To ensure client needs, mainly resulting from Private Equity, leading law firms and large Corporate on both sell- and buy-side
- To identify and evaluate the insurability of M&A transaction risks, to negotiate policy terms and premiums and leading the underwriting process until policy placing in the German and/or international insurance market
- Lead, develop and improve the day to day client relationship and client experience
- Maintain and improve client satisfaction, retention, revenue and profitability
- Act as key resource on policy wordings and other documents as required
Ihr Profil
- University degree with a legal background, i.e. First and Second State Exam
- 3-5 year professional experience with focus on M&A
- Strong technical and M&A execution skills with ability to think commercially
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Effective communication, written (including report writing) and presentation skills
- Ability to read and understand a Sale and Purchase Agreement and / or other transaction documents to a standard expected of a 3-5 year qualified lawyer and to apply that to the placement of a related insurance product
- Business acumen
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Experience of working in a client facing environment
- Ability to use insurance industry IT systems to efficiently deliver client service
- Understanding of compliance regulations
- Some experience of transaction liability products preferred but not essential
- Excellent language skills in German and English (business and policy language)
- Flexibility to travel in Germany and across EMEA
