As Senior Business Intelligence Developer (m/f/d) you will further establish a highly scalable and efficient BI solution landscape for our global sea and air logistics units.

YOUR ROLE

In our BI department in Hamburg we are responsible for air and sea logistics BI solutions. In a highly heterogeneous IT landscape we bring data together to provide profound reliable base for reporting and visibility for our customers.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyze and align requirements from the business unit to acquire insight into the logistic business processes from the respective knowledge holders.
Write technical specifications and effort estimations and transfer them into efficient BI solutions based on our standards.
Design new and optimize Datamarts efficiently.
Implementation and continuous improvement of complex ETL processing on the Oracle database using PL/SQL.
Implementation of SAP BusinessObjects Universes.
Monitoring, operational maintenance and support of regular loading processes including root cause analysis in case of issues.
Regular performance and efficiency optimization to cope with increasing volume as well as quality management.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

Bachelor or Master degree in computer science or comparable professional experience.
Deep understanding of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing concepts and data modeling techniques (OLTP and OLAP).
Profound experience in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL programming and performance tuning as well as Oracle analytical SQL functions and 12c – 19c new features.
Profound experience with at least one ETL tool like Informatica or Pentaho as well as SAP Business Objects (Webl, Universe design), Tableau is a big plus.
Know-how in cloud databases like Snowflake would be beneficial.
Longtime experience in project management.
Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving as well as interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong Ability to work team-oriented, reliable and self-contained.
High level of written and spoken English to work in an international team.
