Allianz Germany aims to modernize Allianz Business Systems (ABS), which includes all lines of business, in the upcoming years. The department ABS and Enterprise Edition Architecture in the pillar of Customer Platforms within Allianz Technology is working on a project to migrate our IBM Z based database backend to a x86 based Linux backend. Furthermore we setup different projects to establish the cloud readiness of the business logic. Several initiatives also aim to build up the Enterprise Edition out of ABS Germany. The department ABS and Enterprise Edition Architecture is in charge of the architecture of the IT System, in which Allianz Germany operates all its customer, contract and claim data as well, as the ABS Enterprise Edition. Therefore, we work closely together with Allianz Germany as well as the responsible department of Allianz SE and the ABS Core Competence Center in Vienna. We are also part of the IT Governance Bodies.
