The U.S. Consulate General in Frankfurt am Main is the largest U.S. consular post and one of the largest diplomatic missions in the word. Due in large part to Frankfurt's international airport - the Consulate plays a key role in the supply chain for and provides a wide array of services and support to over 100 other US missions around the world. The Consulate is also a major regional conference and training center for staff from other embassies and consulates, and it provides consular-services support functions for the region.
The incumbent serves as a Safety Program Coordinator and an Assistant Post Occupational Safety and Health Officer (APOSHO) with responsibility for assisting the Post Occupational Safety and Health Officer (POSHO) in carrying out the day-to-day functions of the Safety, Health and Environmental Management (SHEM) and Fire Protection Division (FIR) programs at post; assures that all government-owned and leased property in country meet the requirement of State Department regulations as well as other related departmental requirements which may exist. Incumbent reports directly to the Senior Safety Program Coordinator and has overall responsibility of the administration of the safety programs at their assigned property portfolio - minimum portfolio size is 90,000 square meters.

Education: Minimum three (3) years of experience in the maintenance or construction field performing repair work or in the field of occupational safety are
required.
Experience: Minimum two years Post-Secondary studies at the College/University level in facilities management, environmental/occupational safety, construction, engineering, or architecture; or completion of a Vocational/Trades School training program equivalent to achieving a journey-level qualification is required.
Language: English level IV (fluent) reading/writing/speaking is required (this may be tested);
German level IV (fluent) reading/writing/speaking is required (this may be tested).
