Your responsibilities
As a Risk Manager you will work on topics related to financial risks. You work closely together with the teams e.g. in Operations, Business Intelligence, Finance and the Product and IT departments to improve the risk function.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Review of rules for credit decisions, along with implementation and optimisation of credit decision systems, tools and processes
- Automation of the credit decision flow with Experian Powercurve Decision engine
- Maintaining and implementing credit policy & rules for current and new products
- Implementation of ING governance and policy framework to local business and ensure compliance to regulatory and Group standards
- Ownership of on-going risk projects and proactively drive projects forward, reporting project updates to local steering committees and senior Management
- Cooperation with stakeholders to develop project plans and maintain up-to-date milestones, track progress against deliverables, and followup to seek resolution for raised issues
- Building relationships with stakeholders across local Business Units, global and local Risk Management teams within ING Group
Your profile
- Master’s degree in Finance / Business, Risk Management or equivalent
- Several years of project management experience in Credit Risk
- Management at a financial institution or consulting firm
- Strong programming skills, Java, C++ is preferred and knowledge in Experian is a strong plus
- Strong analytical skills and logic thinking, as well as experience in Agile Project Management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (German and English) with the ability to present ideas concisely and persuasively
- Team-player with Start-Up compatibility, hands-on mentality, integrity, and reliability
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Atlassian; knowledge in VBA or SQL queries is a plus
