We are looking for you ! We are currently hiring a forward-thinking and results-oriented Revenue Accountant (f/m/d). This position is based in our office in Frankfurt.
Job Purpose / Role
This is a multifaceted and exciting role for a qualified accountant encompassing both operational processing, projects and a broad spectrum of Finance responsibilities including regulatory and audit. This role reports to the Head of Revenue & Expenses (EMEA).
Key Responsibilities
- V&C – Perform validation and control of all transactional operational related processes to ensure financial, regulatory and tax accuracy as well as adherence to the outsourced / offshore control framework including Balance Sheet substantiation, Profit & loss analysis and open items' reconciliation
- Reporting – Responsible for timeliness and completeness in financial statement recordings (including balance sheet and Profit & Loss ledgers), group reporting processes and ad-hoc reporting
- Harmonization – Support and implement initiatives to streamline, harmonize and automate existing processes
- External parties – Contact and support queries from external auditors, tax auditors, customers and other 3rd party service providers for the revenue business
- Projects – Support and implement global / regional projects
- Run and be responsible for the end-to-end processing of revenue and billing related postings
Key Requirements / Skills / Experience
Required:
- At least a Master's Degree in Accounting / Finance or related field of study with very good operational accounting experience
- An accountancy qualification with HGB and IFRS experience would be a strong plus
- Excellent operational knowledge of accounting software (SAP preferred) and Excel skills
- Good interpersonal skills (strong verbal and written proficiency in English and German), self-motivated, independent and upbeat teammate, stress resilient and dedicated to quality assured work
- Sufficient gravitas to present Finance in local management meetings, external parties but also aware of when escalation is required, ability to handle ambiguous situations
- Evidence of inspiring change in a finance setting with strong systems and analytical skills (good competency in IT tools for automation or data analysis would be advantageous)
- Understand big picture views, how different tasks are connected as well as diving into deep detail meticulously
- Strong quantitative and problem solving skills
- Sensitivity to cultural norms and differences
Preferred:
- Proven VAT knowledge and experience with cross border transactions
- Previous experience in Asset Management / Financial Service industry
- Treasury background
- Previous experience with offshoring / shared service centres
