Your tasks

Your responsibility includes deep learning research in the area of neural network optimization for automated driving related tasks (vision, radar, etc.).
You will identify, develop and apply methods for model efficiency improvements such as model compression, quantization, architecture search systems-hardware co-design.
Gain experience and collaborate in a cross-functional team spanning hardware, software and system.

Your profile

Education: degree (PhD or master) in computer science, computer engineering or comparable subject
Personality: Highly motivated, creative thinking and responsible person with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team
Working Practice: goal-oriented, independent and proactive
Experience and Knowledge: Strong computer science foundation, especially in data structures and algorithms, algorithm optimization methods including quantization and compression, deep understanding of machine learning theory and deep neural networks as well as high level understanding of hardware and embedded systems. Professional Python development experience, demonstrated ability to write robust and efficient code, profound proficiency in modeling, training and optimization of deep neural networks in modern deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and expertise in deep neural network optimization methods including model compression, quantization and optimization for embedded devices e.g. by multi-objective neural architecture search (NAS). Experience in computer vision, audio and speech recognition is advantageous
Languages: fluent in English (written and spoken)
