Products and solutions connect devices with networks and clouds, enabling users (men and machines) to communicate fast and safe in all technical environments. The company has grown steadily over the last decades, increasing market share and financial success, respectively. It is working throughout the triad markets using own and distributors’ structures. The total revenue accounts for about 300m Euros, whereas 1/3 is gained in the European markets. The group wants to accelerate the growth, participating in the vast development of specific market segments, especially in Europe and Asia. The European HQ is located in Munich/Germany with affiliated structures in France and Great Britain. In the future, the German organization has to serve as a foothold in the industrial automation business including the multiple national research and development facilities and initiatives in this field. Today, the European structure comprises sales (distributors and key accounts), marketing, application engineering as well as a service/repair unit.
The Product Marketing Manager is in charge to successfully launch and position our client’s products and services in selected European markets. He/she acquires and shares Market Intelligence, develops and continuously improves strategic product marketing plans and creates and delivers the necessary tools including regular promotion activities which enable the sales force to achieve revenue goals in Europe. As a subject matter expert the Product Marketing Manager contributes in particular with market segmentation, value proposition and positioning of our client’s products against competition in the target segments. Vice versa he/she collects the Voice of Customers and market needs directly and indirectly, and gives pro-active development & improvement proposals to the R&D teams. You will create messages for customers that explain the benefits of product features, and compelling stories for demos, trainings, collateral content in order to grow the sales funnel and increase win rate. Your responsibility also covers delivery of presentations and demos in front of customers and at webinars, adaption of global product marketing strategy to the European market and working with Marketing Communications team to integrate the client’s value proposition into all marketing activities. In any case you know your product, customers, markets, industries, applications and competition better than anyone else.
You are an academically trained individual (bachelor’s degree in computer science / engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience) with at least 5 years of working experience in B2B product marketing in the industrial automation or industrial networking market with proven success in crafting messages and accelerating product adoption for defined customer segments. You have a background of using internal and external market data to make products successful, solid skills and experience in writing stories and translating product features into advantages and benefits. In addition to your experience in working with customers in vertical markets such as Manufacturing, Power, Rail, Oil & Gas you have a good understanding of embedded/edge/cloud computing, data science, software development, industrial networking/connectivity solutions, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Cyber Security. You have demonstrated sharp analytical thinking combined with a pragmatic working method and a clear conceptual outcome. You will encounter an open-minded corporate headquarter which actively supports the regional business in a professional way. Your travel time will be up to 25% of the total time and your language skills in English are excellent (written and spoken).
