Product Developer Meat Alternatives and Raw Material Manager (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities
50 % Product Development of Flexitarian
- this position is responsible for developing flexitarian solutions using the ADM nutrition product portfolio leading directly to new business wins
- working closely with the Berlin based product developers, culinary chefs, technologists and flavor creation team, on customer and on internal development projects
- creation and development of taste- and functional building blocks formated to customer manufacturing processes; production and shipment of samples for customers as flexitarian blends and finished products
50 % Creation, Introduction and Updating of Development Processes including
- creation and updating of SOPs, forms for savory and life cycle management
- raw material coordination, product development and application (life cycle management) for the entire savory portfolio (such as: meat extracts, yeast extracts, spicy ingredients, etc.)
- review and approval of new / deviating raw material qualities
- cooperation with several ADM locations (such as Heidelberg, Britz, Amsterdam, Nauen)
- selection of new raw materials in consultation with purchasing and product developers
- optimization and management of the raw material portfolio
- advice and support for product developers
- risk management for raw materials
- consideration of changes in the market and prices of raw materials
- training of PD&A colleagues in the field of raw materials
- maintenance of PD&A raw material data
Your Profile
- BSc in food technology, food chemistry or comparable training
- minimum 3 years experience in the food industry
- first professional experience, ideally in product development of meat alternatives
- first experience in innovation and project management
- extensive knowledge of savory raw materials with focus on meat alternatives
- knowledge of development processes
- sound PC knowledge (Microsoft and SAP)
- a team player who likes to take initiative and play an active role
- high service orientation
- constructive and strong communicator in a cultural diverse working environment.
- fluent in English
- basic in German or willing to learn basic German
- knowledge of other languages is advantageous
