Position Summary
To support our Process Engineering Team, we are currently looking for a Process Engineer – Extrusion (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible.
A day in a life of a Process Engineer:
As a Process Engineer – Extrusion at NPTC Food you will be responsible to drive process equipment innovations and support our factories around the world with technical assistance.
Hence, there are several interesting activities waiting for you:
- Design & develop processes and equipment concepts for plant-based meal solutions with strong focus on optimal machine design, utilization, TCO and CAPEX efficiency under consideration of safety, quality and hygiene aspects.
- Lead extrusion process development, improvement and innovation activities in NPTC Food vegetarian meal solutions projects.
- Set strategy, coordinate and interact with key suppliers and internal customers on identifying the right machines and its set-up for the right applications: from CAPEX evaluation, User Requirement.
- Specification to machine manufacturing, FAT, commissioning, installation and start-up qualification.
- Deliver technical assistance to the markets on installation and start-up of new lines as well as on optimization of current lines.
- Lead competence development in the field of extrusion through training and/or mentoring.
What will make you successful.
- MSc or equivalent degree from a Technical University, preferably in Process, Packaging or Mechanics
- Expert knowledge in the area of responsibility: product, process, system and technology
- Good experience in a factory environment is a pre-requisite
- Good understanding of TPM and Lean processes is an advantage
- Very good language skills (Fluent English is a must; good German skills would be a plus)
- Supplier management experience
- Flexibility for business travels where necessary
