Eaton Power Quality team is accelerating advancement of its digital platform and is scaling plans to implement the software solutions to customers worldwide. The software technology is designed to help manage, monitor and control devices along with management of key resources such as power, space and IT Infrastructure in our customer computing environments with a particular focus on data center as well as commmercial and industrial buildings.
To support this digital strategy, the Power Quality Software Consultant (PQ Sw Consultant) will enable EATON’s country teams and partners across EMEA (50% travel time) to sell and implement Eaton’s existing and future software solutions. She or he will drive the technical adoption of these solutions in the marketplace by working with Country Sales Organizations, partners and PQ’s DPQ Software and Connectivity Business team. She or he will also play the central role within this group in defining and implementing a technical enablement and pre sales support strategy that will allow quick transfer of technical knowledge about such solutions to country EATON’s teams and partners and then scaling our efforts across the entire EMEA region.
The PQ Sw Consultant will play also a role in publicly promoting Eaton’s digital solutions and articulating our value proposition in technical terms to EATON’s support people, partners and customers through conferences, training and other communication means. She or he is expected to visit prospects or existing customers designated by the local Eaton teams from the country together with them in order to assess technical needs and enable implementation of EATON’s software solutions and to build the software technical skills of our organization providing technical inputs coming from his/her customer visits . She or he will serve as the subject matter expert on our offers who can assist the field in closing major opportunities and partners in delivering their projects once opportunity has been won. The PQ Sw Consultant will gather information (pros & cons) about offers from the competition to help building a competitive positioning of our offer.
The PQ Sw Consultant will also receive feedback from each Country, both from Sales/Tech and Customers), to process, prioritize and report to PQs DPQ Software and Connectivity Team. As the Voice of Customer (VoC) the PQ Sw Consultant will work to keep the customer needs addressed in the best way possible.
Key metrics for success for the PQ Sw Consultant will be number of EATON’s technical teams and partners successfully trained as well as number of sales won based on his/her technical recommendations, and breadth and depth of integrator/VAR adoption of Eaton’s software products and services. Interim measures will include the degree of engagement and connectivity with country sales organizations and different parts of our target markets.
