DESY is one of the world’s leading research centres for photon science, particle and astroparticle physics as well as accelerator physics. More than 2400 employees work at our two locations Hamburg and Zeuthen in science, technology and administration.
The particle physics programme of DESY includes strong contributions to the ATLAS, CMS and Belle II experiments as well as detector R&D for future particle physics experiments. Innovation and technology transfer in detector development is fostered to increase the societal benefit of such research. To this end, a new imaging modality using GeV electrons is currently under study making use of the DESY testbeam facilities. DESY is seeking a researcher (f/m/diverse) interested in advancing the marketability of this new imaging modality. The successful candidate will be intensively involved in the development of experimental methods, software development and data analysis.
