At our site in Leverkusen we are currently looking for an
Operations Manager Central Distribution (m/f/d)
Your Responsibilities
- Manage effectively the day to day operation of the warehouse through the operational team leaders
- Support the development of the operational team leaders and teams via ongoing coaching and mentoring
- Ensure that stock movements and stock keeping standards are maintained in line with guidelines
- Ensure the highest operational standards are deployed at all times
- Ensure that warehouse team and operations is compliant with current health and safety regulations
- Liaison with works council on routine coordination topics
- Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans
- Meet regularly with warehouse leads to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans
- Lead 5S, Kaizen and warehouse projects for continious improvement
- Establish and maintain KPI controls that monitor warehouse efficiency and resource utilization
- Foster healthy work conditions and increase employee satisfaction to keep sickness rates low
- Monitor and control operational budgets
Your Profile
- Master in Logistic Management
- Minimum 5 – 7 years professional experience in comparable position
- German business fluent
- English business fluent
- Excellent and proven leadership skills
- Intercultural awareness
- Excellent communication skills
- Analytical skills and structured working style
- Know-how in warehousing, logistics, process and supply chain management and optimization
- Advanced project management skills
- Strong team player in international working environment
- Works council relationship management
- Advanced knowledge Kaizen, 5S, Lean Management
- Advanced knowledge in Warehouse Management Systems (SAP EWM)
