You will
- work on the electrical and mechanical design of complex electron microscopes on a system and module level
- lead the quality, reliability and safety requirements and ensure that the developed systems comply with regulatory standards (CE, SEMI)
- own the certification and documentation process as well as safety and regulatory compliance for new developments and supplier components
- provide technical leadership in system integration, testing and verification
You have
- a university degree (preferably Masters, PhD is a plus) in mechanical or electrical engineering
- at least 3 years of experience in the development of complex production or metrology systems for industrial applications
- proven experience with product certificaction processes (CE, CSA, SEMI), EMC testing and product conformity
- knowledge of the handling of lab equipment and the usage of measurement tools (oscilloscopes, signal generators, environmental testing tools)
- the ability to work hands-on with other R&D functions on metrology tools and how to make them work
- excellent oral and written communication skills in English, command of German is a plus
