Business Area (BA) Markets maximises the value of Vattenfall’s portfolio by optimising and dispatching, hedging, and sourcing for Vattenfall’s assets and sales positions. We offer power purchase agreements to operators of wind or solar parks, optimise 3rd party batteries, and enter into origination deals within the B2B and wholesale segment. We serve as Vattenfall’s single market access to energy commodity markets trading in electricity, emissions, fuels, freight, and renewable certificates. We are responsible for generating profits by taking positions within defined risk mandates and limits. We are active across Europe with around 450 professionals working from Sweden, Germany, The Netherlands, and Denmark.
Within Markets, the Business Unit Customers is responsible for the Commodity and Renewables Origination business. We offer our customers the opportunity to trade on the relevant energy markets through our market access solutions, generate profitable origination transactions for Vattenfall and provide portfolio management services. In addition, we take over the optimization and market integration of the renewable energy plants. These activities form the basis for effectively managing risks for our customers and optimizing the procurement and production portfolio. (Junior) Renewables Originator (f/m/d)
Renewables Origination is responsible for the growth and further development of the customer business with a focus on renewables products (subsidized PPA`s, PPA`s, CPPA`s, GoOs) as well as the expansion of the origination business for Vattenfall. Renewables Origination works closely together with Renewables Portfolio Management, external customers (especially industry, renewables and energy sector) and counterparties, as well as internal customers such as Business Unit Trading and BA Wind.
As (Junior) Renewables Originator you are responsible for proactive and independent generation of structured / non-standard deals with a direct responsibility for profit generation. The role requires identifying, structuring and closing complex CPPA and PPA transactions for Vattenfall in the renewables space. The field of actions stretches from acquisition of must-win customers (especially industry-, renewables- and energy sector) up to origination of counterparties to exchange positions. Deal closing includes all internal approvals by relevant committees and contract negotiation. Identification of Vattenfall’s interest in origination transactions and close cooperation with traders. Development of profitable bespoke solutions with the customers as well as active introduction and implementation of new product ideas. Negotiation of deals will be done independently or supported by a Senior Product Development Manager.
