Junior Compliance Expert (m/f/d)

In close co-operation with the (Senior) Compliance Officer and the Head of Compliance, the Expert 

• Is responsible for controls in relation to personal dealings (daily and yearly), other recurring controls (GPS - Global Permanent Supervision) and organisational tasks (e.g. ensure completeness of acknowledgment declarations/account declarations, maintenance of employee lists)
• Organizes and conducts regular general (for new joiners in Frankfurt) and specific Compliance class trainings
• Supports in the update of existing local Compliance procedures and in the identification of the necessity/preparation of German appendices for global procedures due to local specifics
• Identifies, monitors and reports regulatory and compliance risks both on local and CPLE central level
• Works in close cooperation with CPLE central and where necessary the relevant business lines and makes sure that specific German legal requirements are met
• Maintains contact with regulators and market authorities under supervision of the Senior Compliance Officer or Head of Compliance
• Supports CPLE central in significant shareholdings disclosure under supervision of the Senior Compliance Officer or Head of Compliance
• Works and elaborates together with the Compliance team on new technologies and/or Crypto asset aspects as well as the regulatory aspects in the view of new product developments
• In addition, the expert participates on general projects like the COMPASS exercise (Compliance Risk Assessment)

Experience and technical skills

• Apprenticeship in banking activities with qualification in Compliance related topics and/or legal or economical qualification
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role in a Bank/Financial Institution
• Fluency in both German & English (written and oral) is required; French language skills would be of advantage
• Ability to read and understand legal documents, e.g. laws and regulations, in German and English
• Capacity to analyze and summarize
• Strong ability of assessing risks and procedures at all levels
• MS Office skills (like Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Development and follow up of new technologies and the respective use in the financial industry
