For our office in Unterföhring near Munich we are looking for:
JavaScript Media Player Developer (m/f/d)
You are passionate of internet technologies and creating innovative digital entertainment products? ProSiebenSat.1 Digital GmbH is the place where you can have an impact while driving the development of our Video Player which is used by millions of people per day!
As team member in our cross-functional Player team you work on exciting technical solutions to provide frictionless user experiences for millions of users.
What you can expect in this role
- You are part of a cross-functional team of web developers, mobile developers and QA engineers
- You are actively involved in the entire agile software development process, from concept to production and will develop high-available solutions used by millions of users
- You integrate media player and ad technologies, implement compelling UI’s and invent outstanding new features like e.g. interactive videos
- You improve and enhance the build-in monetization features of our player in close cooperation with our internal sales house (SevenOne Media)
- In our DevOps culture you continuously improve our processes and tech stack, leveraging technical benefits on behalf of our users
Our Tech Stack
- JavaScript, TypeScript, React
- Infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab CI)
- RESTful and GraphQL APIs
- All relevant current browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, …) on desktop, mobile and SmartTVs / HbbTV
- Bitmovin and Shaka players
- Streaming (HLS, MPEG-DASH, Smooth Streaming) and DRM (Widevine, FairPlay, PlayReady) technologies
- VAST and VPAID ad technologies
Your essential experience and education
- You have a university degree in computer science, information technology, media engineering or equivalent practical experience
- You gained professional working experience as a software developer using JavaScript / TypeScript in an online / digital company with agile mindset
- You are a well-structured worker, a team player and thirsty for knowledge
- Experiences with mobile development, cloud infrastructure (AWS), video streaming technologies or in-stream ad technologies would be the cherry on the cake!
- Fluent verbal and written English skills are required, German language skills are a plus
