After building its position as one of the world's leading elevator companies in a mere 40 years' time, thyssenkrupp Elevator became an independent entity in August 2020. The product portfolio covers commodity elevators for residential and commercial buildings to cutting-edge, highly customized solutions for state-of-the-art skyscrapers - such as One World Trade Center in New York. In addition, it also consists of escalators and moving walks, passenger boarding bridges, stair and platform lifts, as well as tailored service solutions such as MAX, the industry's first predictive maintenance solution - thus covering a broad spectrum of urban mobility. The Europe Africa Business Unit is the third-largest of thyssenkrupp Elevator's four Business Units. This regional unit handles the sale, installation, servicing and modernization of elevators, escalators and moving walks. In fiscal 2018/2019 the Business Unit had about 15,000 employees and generated sales of 2.1 billion euros in 29 countries.

Within the Europa Africa Business Unit there are 2 manufacturing sites for Elevators in Europe, in Neuhausen a.d. Fildern in Germany and in Mostoles in Spain. The Supply Management team is split over both locations and is currently looking for a Head of Supply Chain Planning. Our elevator factory in Neuhausen is not only the only one with continuous production of all components in Germany - it is also the largest of its kind in Europe with around 1,000 employees and a production area of 48,000 square meters. Competencies in the areas of engineering and production of elevator systems and components are bundled, innovations are developed and tested, and existing components are constantly optimized.
