Was dich erwartet

We are currently looking for you to join "Digital Rail Germany" by DB Netz AG in Berlin. Your Tasks:

You design computation platforms to support data-intensive and AI-based applications for future rail operation in collaboration with internal and external partners

In particular, you derive compute requirements from different emerging applications, such as real-time capacity and traffic management

You design and dimension suitable high-performance computation (HPC) stacks including GPU-based hardware, operating systems, application software and system management tools

In collaboration with the application developers, you design, optimise and tailor an overall distributed computation architecture to best meet the application needs

You develop novel methods for processing big data and implementing system automation for better efficiency

You roll-out the developed technology in prototyping projects

You provide technical and strategic guidance to the application development teams to achieve the best experience and performance-cost-ratio

Was wir erwarten

Your Profile:

Degree in computer engineering or a comparable field of studies

Multiple years of professional experience in co-designing AI-software products, computing (e.g. Queueing or Parallel Cluster) and optimizing application platforms for GPU-acceleration

Experience in the set-up and usage of high-performance computing environments with hardware acceleration (e.g. FPGA, GPU or TPU-based platforms) suitable for AI applications (e.g. machine learning or data mining)

Good understanding of AI development platforms and modeling languages

Ideally, experience in database infrastructures suitable for AI-environments

Ideally, experience with PowerShell, Python, PHP or virtualization with Docker or Kubernetes
