Financial Reporting

• Responsible for preparing periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, Balance Sheets, variance analysis and commentaries
• Ensuring timely completion and filing of statutory accounts and annual tax returns by providing all necessary information to third party finance resource and external auditors
• Managing requirements of quarterly and annual audits in the provision of any information required by the auditors
• Preparation of annual financial statements and corporation tax analyses
• Develop and maintain relationships with banking and non-organizational accounting personnel to facilitate financial activities.

Business Support

• Acting as Financial Partner to the local General Manager
• Produce monthly reports to local management and for monthly consolidation into European results
• Provide a support the business by working with all departments and other members of the German management team to help make financial decisions
• Ensure spending is maximized to improve profitability
• Interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial managers
• Production and review of relevant KPI’s
• Assist with the compilation of local data for the completion of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets through active communication with both the local management team and European finance team

Financial Processes

• Monitor and evaluate financial information systems and suggest improvements where needed
• Implement internal controls and provide documentation and assess on an ongoing basis SOX compliance
• Ensure the business is compliant with financial governance requirements
• Supervise employees performing financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections and payroll
• Receive, record, and authorize requests for disbursements in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Manage and develop the Finance Team having a hands on proactive approach to managing the finance team prepared to provide personal support and cover when required across all functions within the team
• Responsible for efficient day-to-day running of the German finance department
• Offering knowledge and support to both the finance team and the local management team on any tax and other financially related issues
• Training and development of all members of the German finance team
