With the support of external Editorial Board Members (EBMs), papers are rapidly peer reviewed to ensure they are technically sound.
We have an opening for a physicial scientist (m/f/d) with previous editorial experience to join our team as a Deputy Editor (m/f/d). In this role, you will support the Chief Editor of Scientific Reports (who is based in London) in the editorial development of the journal, in overseeing the Editorial Board and editorial decision-making processes across the journal, making editorial decisions for specific cases as required, and supporting the editorial workflow and peer-review process. You will build relationships with our Editorial Board and the wider scientific community.
This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody to progress their editorial career and join the editorial leadership of a fast-paced, high-profile journal. You will have a PhD, as well as previous experience co-ordinating peer review and making independent manuscript decisions. Additionally, our ideal candidate will have an understanding and experience handling editorial ethics and misconduct issues.
