Corporate Vice President Procurement and Subcontracting (m/f/d)

In the course of our growth strategy, we are strengthening our global organization by setting consistent standards across the group, providing functional expertise, methodology, action frameworks and sparring to the individual market segments and regional areas. In order to responsibly achieve our ambitious business goals, we are searching for an experienced and highly motivated leader (m/f/d) to serve as Corporate Vice President Procurement and Subcontracting.

In this challenging position you will be responsible for transforming the global procurement organization, with its capacities spread across all regions (functional responsibility for more than 100 employees worldwide), into an integrated, constantly evolving competence center that meets all supply chain and customer challenges at its best. The aim is to create a unique corporate procurement approach that makes a substantial contribution to reducing costs and risk in specialized sourcing markets. Based on a global procurement strategy (current purchasing volume of approx. 3 billion euros, focus on equipment, bulk, services, subcontracting), you will establish an integrated set of methods and tools, systems and KPIs and, additionally, define a well-balanced organizational setup (structures, processes, workflows, etc.) setting clear responsibility as well as giving the necessary flexibility to region, market and project relevant adaptations. You will report to our Group COO.

You already have several years of proven success in a comparably demanding position (corporate / matrix) as a Head of / Director / Vice President Procurement, with an industrial background in mechanical engineering, plant construction or other high-tech industries (alternatively on customer side) with a tendency towards comparable business size. Based on your outstanding procurement proficiency, with state-of-the-art tool set and proven track record, you have demonstrated that you can successfully align purchasing organizations professionally and culturally. You are conceptually persuasive with excellent analytical skills, but also a distinctive pragmatic stance. With your excellent communication and networking capabilities, you are able to mentor and develop direct relationships with the broader procurement team as well as your “internal customers”. For this aspect of the job, a willingness to travel is required.
