What you will accomplish together with us
We are currently seeking a Cloud Engineer (m|f|d) for our Information Technology business unit based at our headquarters in Goettingen, Germany (Sartorius Corporate Administration GmbH). In this position, you will contribute to set up a central data platform in the cloud to enable data-driven decision making within Sartorius globally.
- Identify and implement the optimal cloud-based solutions and services together with our data engineering team to meet business requirements
- Design, build, and deploy Azure services including large-scale data processing for advanced analytics use cases
- Define, develop and document well architected standards and best practices for deployment and infrastructure maintenance
- Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high security standards and authorization concepts of our Azure Data Platform and services
- Provide guidance, thought leadership, and mentorship to development teams to build cloud competencies
- Actively contribute to our Data Community

- You have a university degree in mathematics, computer science, physics or related courses
- Several years of experience designing, developing, and implementing Azure cloud solutions
- Strong knowledge of Azure development with ARM templates, Azure CLI, Bash or PowerShell scripts
- Good knowledge of cloud data solutions like Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse and Databricks
- Ability to write scripts to automate processes inside our cloud platform
- Good knowledge of web services, APIs, REST
- Proven ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams of business analysts, data engineers and data scientists
- Experience in several of the following areas are a plus: databases, ETL, business intelligence, big data, machine learning, advanced analytics
- High analytical skills, self-responsible, quality-oriented way of working, professional demeanor, strong teamwork and communication and excellent presentation skills
- Fluent (business) English skills
