Buyer (60%):

• Conduct Advanced negotiation and purchase of various components and commodities including complex commodities such as fabricated parts, pressure vessels, structural skids, final assembly, rotating equipment and buyout equipment.
• Develop RFP's and RFQ's to support engineering specifications and project requirements.
• Manage Cost Data - Ensure the most accurate and up to date material costs are updated and communicated across the business.
• Manage Suppliers – Ensure that suppliers are being evaluated on their performance and when required they are committed to and making improvements. Interviews, recommends and selects vendors/suppliers using an established supplier qualification process.
• Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
• Develop a strategic plan to manage the total spend of specific categories and drive continual cost reduction as part of Annual Cost Reduction Programs.
• Initiate, lead, implement and execute supply agreements that achieve Supply Chain Management Objectives and support the needs of the business.
• Engage other business disciplines and vendors to develop methods of cost reduction through the use of new materials and designs as part of Value Analysis Programs.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and Manage a global supply base.

Export Control & Logistics (40%):

• Create policies and/or procedures for Shipping and Receiving activities
• Implement processes for incoming inspection and approval of goods
• Establish and monitor specific supply chain-based performance measurement systems for Warehouse/Inventory and Logistics
• Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios and prepare or file environmental certification applications
• Identify export issues, develop solutions and provide guidance to project team on resolving issues to support business objectives while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations and internal policies
• Creates, coordinates, and maintains records of export license applications, and other export control issues in accordance with regulations and DHR policies and procedures
• Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers
• Resolve escalated problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues
