Canada’s official representation in Germany includes the Embassy of Canada in Berlin, as well as consulates in Düsseldorf and Munich. Members of the team work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary and international environment. The role of the three offices and their more than 100 Canada based and locally-engaged staff is to develop the relationship between Canada and Germany across a number of areas. Trade Commissioner (m/f/d)
Under the direction of the Consul and Senior Trade Commissioner, advises on and assists in the implementation of the Mission’s trade, investment and technology programs as it fits into the overall Germany International Business Development Program strategy. Current priority sector assignment is the Health Industries/Pharmaceuticals file.
The starting date is 1 July 2019 or later, the position is full-time (37.5 hours per week) and indeterminate. The starting salary is 4,456 EUR gross per month plus benefits.
Essential qualifications include a higher education degree from an accredited college or university, at least three years of recent** direct work experience in promoting international business development in the Life Sciences, recent** experience in organizing commercial or business events, and demonstrated experience in ensuring quality client services by resolving market entry issues.

The ideal candidate has a professional level of German and English (oral and written) and an intermediate level of French (oral and written).
