RF electromagnetic/antenna design engineer (scientific staff member) (f/m/d)
This position is to be filled as soon as possible and will run for a period of three years.
The position is to be filled with 100% of the tariff working hours (part-time is possible, please state when applying whether you would also be interested in a part-time job)
Salary: E 13 TV-L
As RF electromagnetic / antenna design engineer, you will be responsible for the development of electromagnetic structures / antennas for integration on a semiconductor substrate (system-on-chip) in the high mmWave and THz range. The work includes the specification, modeling, simulation, design, and characterization. Both hardware as well system designs issues in the field of imaging and communication technology are equally important.
The creative and independent involvement in project design is explicitly supported. An appropriate acquisition of third-party funds and participation in the administrative tasks of the working group is expected.
This position qualifies within the meaning of the German scientific fixed-term contract law (WissZeitVG), which may be suitable for the Ph.D. degree the following scientific qualification: Acquisition of professional experience in the implementation of the DFG – sponsored project “Essence Phase 2”. The duration of the contract will be designed appropriate to the desired scientific qualification.
