Crucial to our success is the technology behind the scenes that makes the deals possible in the first place. <h2> Technical Product/Program Manager (m/f) </h2> <h3>Responsibilities</h3> In charge of the conception and planning of technical product features in more than 40 countries Management of complex technical projects and programs of various size and scope Working closely with the top management to define the vision and strategy for your technical product area (e.g. APIs, internal back office applications) and execute them with a team of world-class engineers Close interaction with engineering teams and other internal and external stakeholders to drive the technical implementation of improvements and features Communication of product changes to internal and external stakeholders Identification of future opportunities and risks as well as escalation of issues as necessary <h3>Requirements</h3> Bachelor or Master of Business Informatics, Informatics or equivalent technical studies At least 5 years of professional experience in the area of software development; extensive technical know-how and hands-on experience as a developer/development manager 3 years of professional product management expertise Passion for building scalable technical products (e.g. REST-based APIs and/or internal back office applications) Comprehensive knowledge of web technologies and messaging services (e.g. Java, Ruby, JSON, JMS) Experience in working with Scrum or other agile methods Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with little direct supervision Ability to translate complex issues in a simple and comprehensive way Excellent written and spoken knowledge of the English language <h3>What we offer</h3> A highly attractive, fast-growing and innovative product that thrills customers, cooperation partners and us each day anew Rapid decision-making processes through flat hierarchies within the company A worldwide presence that also makes international careers possible (e.g. in our Tech Hubs in Palo Alto, Chicago or Seattle) Dynamic and friendly working atmosphere in a successful international team Attractive, performance-oriented remuneration Modern workplace at the brand-new offices of our Groupon Center Berlin in the heart of the city (close to Gendarmenmarkt) Opportunities exist in all areas of the company, especially in designing and implementing high quality REST-based APIs and internal back office applications.
