Department Head Business Devopment (Strategy) &Operations (f/m)

Roles & Responsibilities

You will lead the Business Development & Operations function for the Merchant Services Business Unit of PayPal in D-A-CH and also lead and support key initiatives including new verticals or new product lines like mobile, omnichannel or POS. Merchant Services globally contributes more than 2/3 of PayPals Total Payment Volume. Tasks will be mainly:

• Identify, drive and lead initiatives to develop and help grow the Merchant Services BU in DACH
• Senior sparring partner to Merchant Services leadership team including Senior Director Merchant Services
• Act as a key counterpart for other parts of the business including Product, Finance or Operations
• Identify optimization potential the Business Unit and adjacent departments
• Lead analytical function to monitor and control key KPI of BU including budget
• Lead a team of 3 Business Developers and Analysts

Position Requirements

You have an MBA or equivalent, PhD or engineering plus business degree, possibly from a leading Business School or University. Besides this you bring 10+ years of working experience with you.

• You have leadership experience
• You are an experienced presenter to senior management inside or outside the company
• You have top analytical and structural skills
• A plus is if you have worked for top strategy consulting or similar company
