healthAlliance standardises on HireEnterprise, saving time, money and possibly lives

New Zealand's healthAlliance today announced that it has achieved significant ROI, saving more than $1 million in recruitment costs, by leveraging Hire.com to attract and deploy top quality specialised medical talent. The healthAlliance standardized on HireEnterprise, Hire.com's award-winning talent management software suite, after a successful experience using the software suite in a portion of the organisation to build relationships with potential candidates.

As part of a campaign to fill 500 job vacancies within the hospital by October 2004, the healthAlliance is focusing its efforts on attracting professionals who share the vision and goals of the hospital. The healthAlliance deployed HireEnterprise and is leveraging its branding capabilities to build a talent pool with the aim of becoming an employer of choice.

While many healthcare organisations are facing challenges to recruit highly specialised professionals in a timely manner, the healthAlliance with the deployment of HireEnterprise's Recruiting Center module, was able to fill a vacancy for a burn surgeon in a matter of minutes. When the vacancy was posted, HireEnterprise matched the specifications with a candidate in the United Kingdom who had the right qualifications and automatically sent an email to the candidate. The candidate immediately replied and was subsequently hired for the job, several days later. This type of highly specialised hire would normally take months to fill and cost thousands for a recruiting firm to source.

"Finding top quality medical talent with specific specialties is an extreme sport here in New Zealand. In fact, our highly specialised pool of medical and healthcare talent is some of the most sought after in the world and Kiwis (New Zealanders) love to travel the world so we do lose some of our talent to other parts of the globe," said Andrew Norton General Manager for Human Resources at Counties Manukau and Waitemata District Health Boards. "With HireEnterprise, we are now in a stronger position to capture and cultivate our own international talent pool through our private talent community."

New Zealand's health care system is organised by District Health Boards (DHB), which serve as providers of healthcare to the total population. The healthAlliance provides shared business services, including human resources capabilities, for approximately 9,500 employees in two DHB's - the New Zealand's Counties- Manukau District Health Board (CMDHB) and Waitemata District Health Board (WDHB) respectively. By implementing HireEnterprise, the healthAlliance has streamlined the recruitment process overall by improving the quality of talent, creating a private talent community from which to draw from, speeding time to hire and significantly reducing hiring overhead by nearly $1 million.
